Retailers are ready for summer

An E-Mart employee sets up swimming pool accessories for sale at the retailer’s branch in Yongin, Gyeonggi, yesterday, a month earlier than usual as temperatures rise and some outdoor swimming pools prepare to open for business as early as in two weeks. Sales of other summer-associated products such as watermelon and ice cream are rising rapidly, as are sales of camping gear such as tents. Temperatures have been averaging in the 20 degree Celsius range. For the first time since data has been compiled in 1922, the cherry blossoms bloomed in March, which was also 13 days earlier than last year. [NEWS1]
