A traditional ritual to appoint a guard to the gate of Gyeongbok Palace was re-created last week at the historical site. The event is rare because the king comes out personally. The Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation organized the ritual based on records from the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). [NEWSIS]
