Kaist makes thermoelectric generator out of glass fabric

A research team at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology has developed a wearable thermoelectric generator, the Daejeon-based science and engineering school said yesterday.

Compared to the existing thermoelectric generator, the wearable version uses glass fabric instead of ceramic and can be processed into clothes, Kaist said. It is 14 times more energy efficient than existing thermoelectric generator, the school said.

It can be used as an alternative source of power for wearable smart devices, Kaist said.
