GE Korea moves its aviation maintenance unit to Gimpo
GE Korea, the local unit of the U.S.-based General Electric, said yesterday it has relocated GE On Wing Support from Incheon to a larger site in Gimpo.On Wing Support is GE Aviation’s engine maintenance service business.
According to GE Korea, the relocation of the facility comes at a time when more large aircraft are operating in Korea and more flights are being arranged in and out of Korea by domestic, foreign and low-cost airlines.
The new On Wing Support site, which is located at the Gimpo Aviation Industrial Complex, is approximately 3,900 square meters (41,979 square feet) in size.
