GS E&C adds $98 million deal to Singapore construction job

GS Engineering and Construction, Korea’s sixth-largest builder, said yesterday it secured a $98 million deal to complete interior work for Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*Star).

The company said it aims to complete the job by July 2015. GS E&C will have to set up interiors for laboratories and offices of A*Star, which is located in Fusionopolis, also a project of GS E&C.

GS E&C secured the contract to build the Fusionopolis project, which consists of three 18-story office buildings, in 2011.

The affiliate of GS Group said it aims to expand its presence in Southeast Asia after winning a series of orders in Singapore.
