Lee Won-joon, who was named president of Lotte Department Store last week, requested employees to promote the company’s business in a fair manner based on principles.
The retailer’s former chief executive resigned earlier this month following allegations that he received kickbacks from suppliers when he was in charge of Lotte Homeshopping.
Lee was appointed last week, and his official inauguration ceremony will be held in June after shareholders meet and approve the nomination.
Lee’s message was sent to employees yesterday by email. According to Lotte Department Store, Lee also stressed a “clean corporate culture.”
