Asiana will begin flights twice a week to Jinan, China

Asiana Airlines, Korea’s second-largest carrier, said yesterday it will launch flights to Jinan, China, starting today.

The affiliate of Kumho Asiana Group said that flights to the capital city of Shandong Province will operate on Monday and Friday.

The carrier will fly the route with a 171-seat Airbus A321-200 jet.

The flight from Incheon International Airport departs at 12:20 p.m. and arrives in Jinan at 1 p.m., local time.

Asiana said Jinan is a key regional transport center to connect to other cities like Qingdao, Yantai and Weihai in Shandong Province, with many tourist attractions nearby.

Including Jinan, Asiana flies to 23 Chinese cities, the most among Korean airlines.
