Korean Air Lines begins daily Incheon to Houston flights

Korean Air Lines, the nation’s largest flag carrier, yesterday inaugurated its nonstop flight connecting Incheon and Houston, Texas.

The company said that a 248-seat B77-200 aircraft will fly the route daily. It departs at 9:10 a.m. from Incheon International Airport and arrives at George Bush Intercontinental Airport at 8:30 a.m. local time. The returning flight from Houston will departure at 10:40 a.m. and arrive Korea 3:30 p.m.

KAL said there is lot of demand for the flight as 17 local companies such as LG Electronics, Samsung Heavy Industries and SK Energy run branches in Houston.

This is the 14th route serviced by KAL to North America. The air carrier currently has the largest number of routes crossing the Pacific Rim.
