Telecom officials meet director of mobile operating group
Hwang met with Bouverot at the KT Olleh Campus in Seocho-dong, southern Seoul, and shared views on the major issues of GSMA.
Hwang, who will become a GSMA board member, talked about sustainable cooperation projects led by KT and general issues in the ICT industry, such as new growth businesses, the Internet of Things and energy convergence.
KT said they discussed ways for cooperation and agreed on KT’s participation in the GSMA Vision 2020 as the leader of Network 2020 sector.
SK Telecom’s CEO Ha Sung-min also met with Bouverot and shared ideas about how they will build relationships between operators in the mobile ecosystem and agreed to cooperate on Mobile 360 Busan, which will be held on May 10 with the ITU (International Telecommunication Union) Plenipotentiary Conference 2014.
Mobile 360 is the first GSMA event to be held in Korea.
Ha said cooperation with various operators in the ICT ecosystem is inevitable and that GSMA’s role is more important than ever.
