YG signs ‘K-Pop Star’ singer

YG Entertainment, one of the nation’s largest entertainment companies, announced yesterday that it has recruited Jang Han-na, a contestant from the SBS survival show “K-Pop Star 3.”

“Jang joined our company about a month ago and has been working as a trainee,” said the agency.

Jang, 18, reached the top eight during the program because of her soulful voice.

Yang Hyun-suk, the head of YG Entertainment, recognized Jang’s potential from the start and did not hesitate to compliment her throughout the show.

Local media reported yesterday that Jang is preparing to debut as a member of a girl group, but no official announcement has been made yet.
