JW Marriott Hotel Seoul

May 9 to 31: JW Marriott Hotel Seoul hosts Culinary Art @ JW, a global gourmet project showcasing the talents of seven international chefs, including several Michelin star holders.

Culinary Art @ JW begins at the Marriott’s buffet restaurant, The Cafe, with a selection of Korean royal-palace dishes by Han Bok-jin, one of Korea’s leading chefs.

On May 9 and 10, Han will introduce several authentic Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) palace recipes. From May 11 to 20, The Cafe will host “Arabian Nights,” a promotion featuring Arabian cuisine by Hassan Mohammad Abdallah of The Ritz-Carlton, Doha.

Western-style restaurant JW’s Grill will create a modern and creative signature menu by Erlantz Gorostiza, executive chef of the Spanish restaurant MB, which has received two Michelin stars.

Japanese restaurant Mikado, meanwhile, will serve a special combining kaiseki cuisine, encapsulating the natural flavors of Korea’s spring, with sake, by Takagi Kazuo, executive chef of three Michelin-starred restaurants.

Italian restaurant Olivo will present Korea’s first ever Talamonti wine dinner, showcasing the cuisine of Abruzzo, a region regarded as the cradle of Italian cuisine.

Chinese restaurant Man Ho will introduce the unique Cantonese cuisine of sous chef Fu Man Piu of two Michelin-starred Tin Lung Heen at The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong.

The Grand Hilton Seoul

Through June 15: The Grand Hilton Seoul is relaunching its Baby Baby Package, which was a huge hit of last year.

The package includes a great selection of special gifts for soon-to-be moms, including the Tommee Tippee manual breast pump with nursing bottles, a CD of music for babies and lotion for pregnant moms. Guests can also borrow an LG Pocket-Photo, which enables them to print out their smartphone photos on the spot. Ten sheets of paper are also offered.

The package includes breakfast, dinner and a happy hour at the Executive Floor Lounge, two glasses of fresh fruit juice and free access to the swimming pool, fitness center and sauna.

The package costs 350,000 won ($340) excluding taxes and service charges.

Millennium Seoul Hilton

Through June: Genji, Millennium Seoul Hilton’s Japanese restaurant, holds a two-month promotion featuring eel, sea bass, and croaker, all considered invigorating food to eat during the summer season.

Enjoy them as part of an a la carte menu at Genji that includes rice topped with eel, steamed eel with brown rice, croaker fish with vegetables in a hot pot and sea bass sashimi.

Sheraton Seoul D Cube City Hotel

Through August: Sheraton Seoul D Cube City Hotel presents bingsu, or shaved ice flakes, the most beloved summer dessert in Korea.

The Sheraton Splash bingsu will be served on the Lobby Lounge floor and in the basement deli with boiled adzuki beans, seasonal fruit, macaroons, apple jelly and condensed milk.

Guests staying at the hotel can also order Sheraton Splashes in their rooms.

The Sheraton Splash is available throughout the summer for 22,000 won, including taxes.

Imperial Palace Seoul

June 7 to September 5: Imperial Palace Seoul is opening its swimming pool up for the summer this June.

The pool, surrounded by palm trees and columns reminiscent of those from the ancient Greek Parthenon, is the perfect setting for a romantic night out.

In this romantic setting, you can enjoy beef burgers, pizzas, assorted grilled meats and coconut drinks.

Assorted champagne and wine are also on offer.

Since the hotel offers various discounts, be sure to check the conditions.

The Grand Hilton Seoul

Ongoing: The Grand Hilton Seoul is opening its outdoor BBQ at the Buffet Restaurant. Diners are able to enjoy meals on the outdoor terrace with a view of Baengnyeong Mountain.

The special features plenty of meat, including beef, pork, chicken and lamb, as well as seafood such as shrimp, scallops and squid. Diners make their selection and watch as it is cooked to perfection by hotel chefs.

The outdoor BBQ is served from Friday to Sunday as well as during holidays. On weekdays, lunch is 65,000 won while dinner is 70,000 won.

On weekends, lunch is 70,000 won while dinner is 78,000 won.

All prices include taxes and service charges.
