Hyundai’s Sonata shares prize for ergonomic design
Hyundai Motor, the nation’s largest automaker, said yesterday that its Sonata midsize sedan won the Ergonomics Design Award along with LG Electronics’ OLED TV.The company said that its latest sedan was a co-winner of the grand prize given by the Ergonomics Society of Korea at an award ceremony in Jeju. Hyundai has been emphasizing its “Human-Machine Interface” design concept in the Sonata, which is more user friendly for passengers and drivers. The seventh-generation Sonata has been a big seller. It became nation’s best-selling car last month after 11,904 units were sold.
