Koh and Im to join forces

Actress Koh Jun-hee will team up with prominent filmmaker Im Sang-soo for a new film tentatively titled “No Today for Us,” according to local media reports yesterday.
In the film, Koh will co-star with actor Ryoo Seung-bum of 2013’s “The Berlin File” in a story that explores corruption in Korean companies.
Koh’s role was first offered to actress Kim Hyo-jin, but Kim had to drop out of the film when she became pregnant and the production team has been looking for a replacement ever since. Kim worked with director Im in the 2012 film “The Taste of Money.”
Industry insiders said the film could prove to be a turning point for Koh, since she hasn’t had a lot of success in cinema over the years. Koh debuted as a commercial model in 2001 but only recently gained widespread recognition after the 2012 SBS drama “The Chaser.”
Im was nominated for the Golden Lion at Venice International Film Festival for his 2003 work “A Good Lawyer’s Wife.”
