Shinsegae choosing university students for tour of EuropeShinsegae Group, the owner of the country’s leading department and discount stores, said yesterday that it will hold a two-day competition this month to select 20 university students to participate in a tour of historical sites in Italy and southern France.
The final competition will be held at the Shinsegae Human Resources Development Center in Yongin, Gyeonggi. The tour is part of the conglomerate’s effort to provide university students with more knowledge of the humanities. It started the campaign in April when Chairman Chung Yong-jin lectured students at Yonsei University on how humanities can help them decide on a direction in life.
