An Army sergeant shot himself yesterday after a day-long standoff with the military on a mountain in Goseung County, Gangwon. The 22-year-old soldier fled after a shooting spree that killed five and injured seven fellow soldiers. Investigators are looking into whether strict disciple drove him over the edge.
