Lotte E&C wins $70.2 million contract for Vietnam highway
Lotte Engineering and Construction, Korea’s seventh-largest builder, said yesterday it won a $70.2 million order to build a highway in Vietnam.Under the contract with Vietnam Expressway Corp., Lotte E&C will build the first section of the Da Nang-Quang Ngai Expressway that stretches 140 kilometers (87 miles).
The project is supported by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Last year, the affiliate of Lotte Group secured the fourth section of the highway, which is 14.6 kilometers long. The first section, which it won with local construction company CC1, is 16.5 kilometers. It is expected to take 36 months to complete.
