Recruitment conference looks at social media’s role

The Presidential Committee on Young Generation and Job Korea, an online job portal, will hold a free recruitment trend conference this afternoon at Federation of Korean Industries headquarters in Yeouido, western Seoul.

The event is open to both recruiters and job seekers to discuss the role of social media as a recruitment tool. Jang Jae-ho, director of LinkedIn for the Asia-Pacific region, Jang Seok-ho, professor and head of Yonsei University Integrated Business Center, and Kim Hwa-su, CEO of Job Korea, will participate in a panel discussion on emerging talent assessment models and the role of social media. Recruiters from various corporate bodies, including the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, SAP Korea, Small and Medium Business Corporation, KT and SK Group that are currently using social media in hiring will share their experiences and offer tips.
