The Ministry of Strategy and Finance said yesterday that it will revise enforcement ordinances regarding the tobacco industry to prohibit cigarette companies and retailers from using certain words on cigarette packs such as “light,” “mild” and “low-tar” because they downplay the health risks accompanying smoking. The revision will take effect next January 22. Companies that don’t comply face fines and jail terms. [NEWSIS]
