Retail hazards
Construction materials fell at around 2 p.m. yesterday from the ceiling of the first floor of Hyundai Department Store in Cheonho-dong, eastern Seoul, resulting in injuries of one staff member and five customers. Although their injuries were minor, around 1,000 shoppers were in the store but only 100 customers on the first floor were evacuated. Safety related incidents are receiving increased attention since the sinking of the Sewol ferry in April. [NEWSIS]
