U.S. DJ, Dynamic Duo release album
The international collaboration album “A Giant Step,” created by Korean hip-hop group Dynamic Duo and U.S. producer Christopher Edward Martin, better known as DJ Premier, was unveiled yesterday at noon.
The two-track album’s lead, “AEAO,” talks about holding onto hope and toughing it out in an overly competitive and aggressive society.
Its music video was also released yesterday.
The duo’s signature and candid lyrics are backed by the world-famous DJ’s strong and soulful mid-tempo beats.
The beginning of the project goes back to February when the artists met for the first time. Dynamic Duo visited the international music fair Midem in Cannes, France, upon hearing that their role model DJ Premier would be there. Since the musician was also interested in Korean hip-hop, they agreed to make an album together.
Following the record’s release, the two teams held a showcase yesterday, which was broadcast live through Naver Music.
