Mystic 89 to put on festival

The local entertainment agency Mystic 89 will hold a music festival for the first time in Korea.

The agency’s chief producer Yoon Jong-shin said yesterday online that he wanted to meet fans on Jarasum Island for two days from Sept. 20 through the Melody Forest Camp festival. He also released a poster for the event that featured two people sitting on the grass. No further details have been released.

“I finally get to hold a festival, after first mentioning it back in 2012,” Yoon said earlier on Thursday.

A number of top local artists are slated to appear at the event, though none has yet been confirmed. The festival aims to promote popular Korean music. Tickets for the event will go on sale from 2 p.m. Tuesday.
