Intel Korea sells Taiwanese tablets for educational use

Intel Korea said yesterday it has begun selling Android-based tablet PCs manufactured by Taiwan’s Asus through Korea’s major home shopping channels.

The tablet PC, or the TF103C, features the Pocket EBS, an app-based platform of educational content aired on EBS, Korea’s state-funded education broadcaster.

“Intel has continuously worked to establish a smart device-based digital educational environment,” said C.I. Koh, a manager of Intel Korea’s Enterprise Solution Sales division. “We expect that students will be able to make use of educational content anytime, anywhere through this Intel Atom processor-based Asus tablet PC.”
