Doosan machinery maker opens Incheon research center

Doosan Infracore, the machinery maker under Doosan Group, held a completion ceremony yesterday for its Global R&D Center in Incheon, which was attended by 200 people, including Doosan Group Chairman Park Yong-maan.

The R&D center is 12 stories high with two basement floors and can accommodate 1,000 people.

Previously, the company’s researchers were scattered around Incheon and Yongin, Gyeonggi, but by uniting machinery and engine researchers, the company hopes to increase cooperation.

The company said it created an environment that fosters creative development, including a “Town Hall” meeting center, an “Idea Room” and an exclusive training site.
