New phones have warnings for electromagnetic waves
Consumers who buy a new cell phone this month will see printed on the box the amount of electromagnetic waves generated by the device that will be absorbed into their body.The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning approved the requirement yesterday for cell phones and telecom network receivers.
Electromagnetic waves from cell phones are separated into two levels: from zero up to 0.8 watts per kilogram is given a Grade 1, and up to 1.6 watts per kilogram is Grade 2.
