CJ Korea Express to start shipping venture in Myanmar

CJ Korea Express announced yesterday that it is entering Myanmar after being selected as the preferred bidder to set up a joint venture with the state-run Road Transport.

The affiliate of CJ Group said that it will be involved in all logistic business including land transportation, the operation of distribution centers and delivery once it has set up the joint venture with Road Transport, which is the largest logistic company in the country.

Korea’s largest ground shipper plans to build its main distribution center in Yangon and will have seven delivery points to distribute goods domestically and internationally.

The company said that Myanmar’s location between China and India will increase its market potential.
