Korea Post holds exhibition with more than 20,000 stamps

Korea Post will host the “Phila Korea 2014 World Stamp Exhibition” through next Tuesday at Coex in southern Seoul. With the theme of “Love, harmony and peace,” the exhibition will display 20,000 stamps and 519 works of art using stamps from 68 countries.

The exhibition is divided into 20 displays including a collection of rare, valuable stamps such as “Inverted Jenny,” the first air-mail stamp used in the United States in 1918, which is now worth about 1.5 billion won ($1.4 million).

There will also be an activity booth for children and various cultural events including a musical, a cappella singing and traditional dancing.
