Winner teases first full-length album

Boy group Winner released a teaser image yesterday to promote its first album’s release on Thursday.

The group’s debut has been garnering much attention as this is the first boy band YG Entertainment has introduced in nine years. The last one was Big Bang.

The group, which earned its name after winning a survival audition program “WIN: Who is Next” last year, has been preparing for its official launch for about 10 months. The survival program was based on a competition among trainees at YG Entertainment.

The debut album “2014 S/S” will have two title songs, “Empty” and “Color Ring.” The album includes 10 tracks.

The teaser image for “Empty” features the five members in suits while the one for “Color Ring” shows a more casual look with the guys wearing T-shirts and checkered shirts.

After the album release, the group will hold its first official performance in “AIA Real Life: Now Festival 2014” at Jamsil Sports Complex in Songpa District, southern Seoul. Other acts from YG Entertainment, including Big Bang, 2NE1 and Lee Hi, will also perform at the event.
