German automaker unveils new Audi to the Korean market

Audi Korea released a new version of its Audi A3 yesterday in an effort to increase the competitiveness of its premium compact sedan in Korea.

The company said the German brand will sell two types of the Audi A3 Sedan 25 TDI and the Audi A3 Sedan 35 TDI dynamic. The original Audi A3 sedan was first introduced in Korea last January.

The Audi A3 Sedan 25 TDI is equipped with a 1.6 TDI diesel engine and an S tronic 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that delivers a fuel efficiency of 16.8 kilometers per liter (39.5 miles per gallon). It will be sold for 36.5 million won.

With a 42.9 million won price tag, the Audi A3 Sedan 35 TDI comes with a 2.0 TDI engine and S tronic 6-speed transmission at 150 horsepower. It can go from zero to 100 kilometers (62 miles) in 8.4 seconds.
