Taeyang kicks off solo tour in Japan

The concert “Sol Japan Tour ‘Rise’ 2014” launched on Tuesday in Osaka, Japan.
The tour mainly showcases “Rise,” Taeyang’s second album, which came out four years after his first solo work.
“I’ve been wanting to do a concert tour in a small venue so that I can be [with you],” the singer said during the concert.
The Japanese version of “Rise” was released after his second performance in Osaka on Wednesday.
The singer sold 40,000 copies of the album, which ranked second on Oricon’s daily album chart.
He will continue the tour in five other cities with 11 more performances in front of 70,000 fans altogether.
