Warehouse war
Shoppers dig through products at E-Mart’s warehouse store in Suwon, Gyeonggi, that opened yesterday. It is the retailer’s 151st store, and ninth warehouse type. Usually, E-Mart stores resemble the budget brands of more sophisticated department stores with nicely aligned displays. However, the warehouse stores, which the company calls E-Mart Traders, resemble Costco outlets. The new Suwon store covers 11,900 square meters (128,090 square feet) and has parking for 705 cars.
