LSIS signs tech agreement to provide parts to Myanmar

LSIS, a major Korean electricity solution provider, said yesterday it signed a technology cooperation deal with Myanmar’s Asia General Electric (AGE) for a high voltage distribution panel board. The company said it won the contract after beating competitors like Siemens and ABB.

The affiliate of LS Group will also supply more than 3,000 vacuum circuit breakers (VCB) for the next five years to Myanmar’s top electric device maker, which was founded in 2008. LSIS will help AGE make an electric distribution panel board of 12-36kV. The company expects to earn revenues of at least $13 million from supplying parts.
