The streets of Myeong-dong, downtown Seoul, are hung with banners written in Chinese for the benefit of tourists, yesterday. According to the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute, per capita spending by Chinese tourists in Korea in the first quarter was $1,738.40, a 20.4 percent drop from the $2,182.60 they spent in the fourth quarter of 2013.
