S-Oil, Korea’s third-largest refiner, said yesterday it donated 200 million won ($197,300) to 78 students who are the children of firefighters who died on the job or retired with disabilities.

The company said that it held a ceremony for “Children of Fallen Firefighters” at Yeongdeungpo Fire Station in western Seoul to honor the firefighters.

Since 2006, S-OIL has offered scholarships to the children of firefighters.
