ShootingKorea won another gold medal in shooting yesterday as Kim Mi-jin set a world record in the women’s double trap at the Gyeonggido Shooting Range in Hwaseong, southern Gyeonggi. The 34-year-old Kim shot 110 points for gold, beating Zhang Yafei of China. Bai Yiting, also from China, claimed bronze, shooting 107 points. Earlier yesterday, Kim was part of the silver-medal-winning double trap team with Son Hye-kyoung and Lee Bo-na.
The men’s shooting team, consisting of Kim Jun-hong, Jag Dae-kyu and Kang Min-su, won silver yesterday in the men’s 25-meter standard pistol, shooting 1,707 points at the Ongnyeo International Shooting Range, while China took the gold medal with 1,710 points.
Rowing
Ji Yoo-jin of Korea won a gold medal in women’s lightweight single sculls rowing yesterday, Korean’s second gold medal in rowing at Incheon. At the Chungju Tangeum Lake International Rowing Center, Ji finished the race in 8:01 seconds to beat Lee Ka Man of Hong Kong.
