A textbook argument
Civic group members protest against Korean Teachers and Education Workers’ Union members who hold pickets opposing government-published history textbooks during an open forum at the Seoul National University of Education. The forum was set up to discuss policies on the newly combined humanities and natural sciences divisions in high school curriculums. It came after the Education Ministry announced that it is considering creating combined social and natural science textbooks, including history books, and that the plan will be finalized after the open forum.
