Bowling

Team Korea - Lee Na-young, Jung Da-wun and Son yun-hee - won a gold medal in the women’s trios yesterday with a total score of 3,896 points at Anyang Hogye Gymnasium. Singapore took the silver with 3,753 points and the No. 2 Korean team of Lee Yeong-seung, Jeon Eun-hee and Kim Jin-sun took bronze with 3,692 points.

Racewalking

Kim Hyun-sub won Korea’s first medal in track and field, winning a bronze in the men’s 20-kilometer racewalk yesterday with a time of 1:21.37. Wang Zhen of China won the gold in 1:19.45 and Suzuki Yusuke of Japan won the silver in 1:20. Kim won a silver medal in the event in 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar, and a bronze in the 2010 Guangzhou Games.

In the women’s 20-kilometer racewalk, Jeon Yeong-eun of Korea won a bronze medal in 1:34.54. China took gold in the women’s event as Lu Xiuzhi crossed the finish line in 1:31.06, and Khushbir Kaur of India won silver in 1:33.07.
