Artificial island to open as new culture complex

Some Sevit, the artificial island located at the southern end of the Banpo Bridge, is prepared yesterday for its grand opening tomorrow, three years after construction was completed. It will be the world’s first and biggest artificial island that serves as a multipurpose complex. The structure is comprised of three smaller islands: Some Gavit, a facility with a convention center, restaurants and a cafe; Some Chavit, an open space for performances; and Some Solvit, a cultural complex for exhibits and leisure sports.
