Samsung Electronics sets new record for fastest 5G
Samsung Electronics said yesterday it successfully demonstrated its 5G data transmitting technology in a car traveling at 100 kilometers per hour (62 miles per hour).
During the test, the tech giant recorded a transmitting speed of 1.2 gigabytes per second without disconnecting, even though the vehicle was traveling at high speeds.
Samsung also said that during the test it had increased the transmitting speed of 5G technology to a world record of 7.5 gigabytes per second in a stationary setting.
That is 30 times faster than the commercialized 4G LTE network, the company added.
