LG Display stays out of debt for 10 consecutive quarters
LG Display has stayed in the black for a 10th quarter straight, recording an operating profit of more than 470 billion won in the third quarter.
The affiliate of LG Group said yesterday that its profits reached 474.1 billion won over the three-month period ending September, up 22 percent year-on-year. Revenue was 6.54 trillion won, a 0.5 percent drop from a year ago.
Net profit for the July-September period was 354.1 billion won. The company said high demand for panels for big-screen TVs and large-screen smartphones helped to boost profits.
