Yoon Jong-kyoo, the new KB Financial Group chairman, leaves the group’s office yesterday in Jung District, central Seoul. Yoon, who is now waiting for a final approval from shareholders during their meeting on Nov. 21, said the board members had agreed to his proposal that he be allowed to also act as the interim president of its flagship banking unit KB Kookmin Bank. “I will work fast to stabilize the organization, which will help us recover our former status as a leading bank by strengthening our competitiveness and help us regain the trust of our customers,” he said.
