LG Electronics inks agreement with Google to share patents

LG Electronics said yesterday it has signed an agreement with Google stipulating that the companies can share each other’s patents.
The company said that the cross-licensing agreement includes rights for patents that are registered to 2023.
“LG values its relationship with Google, and this agreement underscores both companies’ commitment to developing new products and technologies that enhance consumers’ lives,” J.H. Lee, executive vice president and head of the LG Electronics Intellectual Property Center, said in a press release.
