Hankook launches new tire to cater to overseas markets
Hankook Tire, Korea’s largest tire maker, yesterday launched its new brand “Laufenn” as it aims to meet specific needs of overseas markets.
The company said that the Laufenn tire, which derives its name from the German word “laufen,” which means “to run” in English, will be more affordable than its “Hankook” brand tires and will focus more on basic performance.
The tiremaker said that Laufenn tires will be sold in North America, Central and South America and Asia-Pacific regions starting next year.
