Hyosung ATM maker to start video banking system in U.S.

Nautilus Hyosung, the nation’s leading ATM manufacturer, said yesterday it is releasing new ATMs in the United States that use an upgraded “video banking” system.

The affiliate of Hyosung Group said that its “Monimax 7800i” ATM has an LCD screen on which a customer can receive support from a teller if when they need help. The company said it first introduced the ATM at the PayThink Conference in Pheonix, Arizona, last month.

Nautilus Hyosung currently supplies ATMs to major banks in the U.S. such as Citi Bank and Chase Bank, but is looking to expand. The company said that the U.S. market accounts for 40 percent of its export.
