Quirky costumes
The outfits for “Triadisches Ballett (Triadic Ballet),” developed by German Bauhaus painter and choreographer Oskar Schlemmer(1888-1943), are currently on display at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Seoul. The costumes are part of the “Human Space Machine-Stage Experiments at the Bauhaus” exhibition organized by the MMCA in collaboration with the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation. The show sheds new light on the German art and design educational institution’s experiments related with performance and staging, which are less renowned than its famous legacy in architecture and commercial design.
