Posco E&C to build steel plant with Oman’s Steel Metals LLC

Posco Engineering and Construction said on Tuesday that it has signed a contract to build a steel manufacturing factory worth $400 million with Sun Metals LLC of Oman.
The company held a signing ceremony at its headquarters in Songdo, Incheon, with the company’s vice chairman Ahn Byung-sik and Sivarajan and Sojitzu Machinery executives that are participating in the project, including the director and project coordinator.
The company said the factory will produce an average 2.5 million tons of the metals billet, rebar and special steel. The company said the project will be completed within 30 months.
