Cheil Industries to give away Samsung gifts in promotion

As a growing number of consumers make direct purchases overseas, Samsung is aiming to win back support from its customers with promotional gifts.

Cheil Industries, a retail fashion affiliate of Samsung Group, will launch a promotion with Samsung Electronics from Friday through Dec. 28.

During that time, consumers can choose a Samsung 32-inch television, a small washing machine or a vacuum if they purchase more than 700,000 won ($628) in merchandise.

People who spend more than 1.5 million won will get a Galaxy Tab S 8.4. The gifts are available on a first come, first-served basis. Samsung Electronics will give away 1,000 TVs, 10,000 washing machines, 11,000 vacuums and 1,000 Galaxy Tabs.
