Bonjuk, a popular Korean rice porridge chain, started selling a packaged red bean porridge on Thursday ahead of Dongji, or winter solstice, on Dec. 22. Koreans traditionally eat red bean porridge on winter solstice to fend off evil spirits who are believed to be afraid of anything red. [NEWSIS]
