Jeju Air to launch Busan-Guam and Daegu-Beijing routes

Jeju Air, Korea’s largest low-cost carrier (LCC), said on Tuesday that it will start flights connecting Busan and Guam this week and plans to launch a Daegu-Beijing route next month.

The affiliate of Aekyung Group said starting Thursday, flights for Busan-Guam will be available twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays.

Currently, the route is only operated by Korean Air Lines, which flies four times a week.

In addition, the company said its airplanes will fly from Daegu and Beijing three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays starting Feb. 13. This is first time a local LCC has launched a flight to Beijing.

Jeju Air, on the other hand, said it is offering a special promotion to celebrate the launch of its new routes. The discounted tickets are only available on their website or mobile application, the airline said.
