Lee Young-lyoul, senior vice president at satellite provider KT Skylife, has been hand-picked to be included in TV Connect Global’s Connected 100 group, the company said Tuesday.
TV Connect Global is the world’s largest Internet, cable and mobile TV conference.
The Connected 100, which launched last year, brings together some of the most experienced and forward-thinking minds in the telecom, broadcast media and over-the-top content arena to debate big-picture issues affecting the industries.
Lee has presented successful and innovative examples of Korean IPTV cases several times at TV Connect Global, which is held in London each April.
The conference is dubbed the CES of the Internet and TV sectors. Around 10,900 visitors from 104 countries attended its 11th-year conference.
The Connected 100 is composed of senior executives from the communications, cable, broadcast, Internet services and relevant equipment and consulting industry.
It has a separate advisory committee of 12 influential people, including Jamie Miles, vice president for Time Warner Cable’s National Content Operations Team.
Through live debate, opinion polls and networking events, the Connected 100 community strives to encourage change and provide a voice within the industry, offering insight and feedback on issues that need to be addressed.
Lee will forecast future trends of smart media as a member of the Connected 100 at the event’s leadership summit. He will also deliver a keynote speech at the global conference.
