Muslims probed for hugging B1A4

테스트

Muslim women who hugged K-pop boy band B1A4 during a concert held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Jan. 10 are likely to be arrested by the Federal Territories Islamic Department (JAWI) if they do not show up for an investigation a week from now.

JAWI will apply for an arrest warrant and will put the women on trial, according to Malay news reports, because public displays of affection between members of different genders are highly prohibited in the nation.

The five-member boy band held a small concert in Kuala Lumpur earlier this month and hugged several women from the audience and kissed one on the forehead during the show.

A video depicting the exchange was uploaded onto YouTube, prompting outrage in Malaysia. Many locals commented that the Malay girls were “molested” by the K-pop boy band, according to the news reports.
